Ashley walked into the Wishing Shrine, looking all around. The place was marvelous, and she found that she hardly knew what to say. She had not come for anything; No, she was quite happy with her beautiful Mareep, and merely wanted to pray to the legends. To thank them for all they do to watch over everyone.
The bounding ball of fluff at her side was equally entranced, and Ash couldn't help but giggle at the sight of the frolicking Pokemon. "Come on now, behave," the pretended to reprove, but her giggle let the Pokemon on to the truth. Ash wasn't bothered by her carefree attitude; she just hoped the legends wouldn't be either.
After a while, the pair stopped and dropped to their knees. Or, in the Mareep's case, lowered her body closer to the ground, in a sort of bow. Ashley bowed her head and clasped her hands together as if in prayer. Then they started to speak.
'Lugia, Ho-Oh, guardians of the sky, the earth, and the sea... Thank you for all that you have done. We are very lucky to have such great legends watching over us. All we wish is to offer you some measure of our gratitude. Thank you~' Ashley and her Mareep spoke in unison.
After they were through, the pair looked up, Ash laying a comforting hand upon her Pokemon's head. The Mareep snuggled closer, then they waited.
